Tradition

Every girl dreams of her perfect man with the perfect ring the perfect white dress the perfect wedding along with that breath taking honeymoon and the amazing family that grows from there. I cant argue.. I definitely have THE PERFECT man. BUT the rest? ummm with him the tradition sort of falls out the window. The way we started dating was definitely UNTRADITIONAL. Trust me. You do NOT want me to go there. lol. I just feel like the ring should have came with the first time he proposed to me. He proposed to me very casually. If the ring didn't come with the proposal does it really count? I believe so. I just lose out on enjoying the engagement I guess. lol. The ring isn't what matters it is the love & devotion two people share. BUT as much as I think a cute simple diamond ring would like gorgeous on my tiny finger I do not believe me picking out that ring after the proposal and wedding planning is traditional or meaningful. If it's not meaningful I do not want it. I will not I will not I will not have any part in picking out a ring for me. To be honest I think it is pointless for him to give me a ring at this point in the game became the proposal wasn't an unforgettable dreamy moment and the ring doesn't come after the proposal. It was like in a regular conversation. We should just be picking out the wedding rings instead I guess. But hey if that's what works for us, like I said our relationship is nothing close to Traditional. But in some aspects...I wish they were...at least a tini tiny bit... xo
